We are coming to WDW 3/09 for 7 days with a 1 yr old. We have reservations at POFQ but are considering changing to a deluxe resort to be closer to the parks so that we can have afternoon naps in the room. Do you have any suggestions?

Hi Nicole - If you are looking for a resort closer to the parks, I'd definitely recommend the Polynesian, which is on the monorail route.  Being on the monorail is definitely the easiest and fastest way to get from the Magic Kingdom back to your resort.  The Polynesian is absolutely beautiful and its character meal at 'Ohana is one of my kids' favorites.

However, if you booked a moderate resort to save your family money, I wouldn't necessarily change your reservation.  I stayed at the Port Orleans French Quarter resort several years ago with a 10 month old and a two year old, and we went back to our resort every day for a nap.  It wasn't the perfect situation, but it was definitely very possible.

    Have a wonderful vacation!
