Coming to WDW for 5 days on 11/29 & staying at Contemp w/ 4yr old & 1 yr old DD's. We wanted to see gingerbread display at the GF. How long is the boat ride from Contemp. to GF? How often does it run? When does GF's X-mas display set up?

Hi Greg,

Just wait until you see that life-size gingerbread house at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort! It should definitely be on display in late November during your visit as the Christmas decorations magically appear earlier in November. The gingerbread house is adorable and it smells amazing too! Did you know you can purchase individual shingles like the ones on the house for nibbling? Yum!

You can get from Disney's Contemporary Resort to the Grand Floridian by boat, but you'd have to transfer boats at the Magic Kingdom en route. The quicker way to get there is by resort monorail, which you can board on the fourth floor of Disney's Contemporary Resort. It will only take about 10 minutes to get there by monorail.
