We will be coming to WDW over Columbus weekend and I wondered if the parks will be themed for Halloween? I see that there is an event in MK on the day we arrive but it looks like it is for younger children and I thnk my 11 year old will not be interested..

    Hi Claire!

You better believe it!  By the time Columbus Day arrives, the parks will be completely decked out in their "Spooktacular" decor!   Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party is my personal FAVORITE special event at Disney World and my three boys love it!  My oldest son, aged 12, has always found tons to do and the Halloween Parade is truly a sight to behold.  Honestly, he isn't as interested in the Trick or Treating section, but riding his favorite attractions with little to no wait can't be beat!   Also, this party is the only time that adults can dress up in the Magic Kingdom - Boo!

    Much pixie dust,
