We are coming to WDW April 1-8 staying at FW Campground. This will be our 3rd visit to WDW but we're bringing my 75 yr old grandmother and it is her first time at WDW! I want to make it really special for her. Any suggestions on what we could do?

Hi Jennifer! How wonderful that your grandmother is about to experience her very first Walt Disney World vacation! Be sure to request a "First Visit" celebration button at resort check-in to proudly announce this momentous occasion to other guests and the Disney Cast Members!

You may wish to contact Disney Florist for some unique gift ideas that can be delivered anywhere on Walt Disney World property. Some jewelry or a bouquet of flowers would surely touch Grandma's heart.

Perhaps a specialty cake, in honor of Grandma, could be delivered to a table-service restaurant at the end of a meal. Contact the Cake Hotline at 407-827-2253 with at least 48 hours advance notice to discuss your options.

Since you mentioned staying at Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground, you might want to explore options for a horse-drawn carriage ride. For more information, please call (407) WDW-PLAY or (407) 939-7529.

Lastly, never underestimate the value of quiet moments spent together enjoying the wooded surroundings of your resort. Grandma could easily explore the more than 700 acres of Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort in an electric-powered cart. Daily rentals are available at the Outpost. Advance reservations are highly recommended. To reserve a cart up to one year in advance, call (407) 824-2742.

Thanks for taking the time to visit us at the Walt Disney World Moms Panel and feel free to send more questions our way in the days leading up to your trip! May your Disney vacation be practically perfect in every way!
