Hi! We're coming to WDW in April 2014. Not staying in any Disney resorts (we have the use of a friend's condo). Wanted to go to Chip & Dale's singalong and outdoor movie. As we will not be staying in any Disney resort, are we still able to attend?

    Carolyn:

Your trip will be here before you know it, and it sounds like you're heading to one of our family's favorites: Chip & Dale's Campfire Singalong!

The event is free, even if you are not staying at Fort Wilderness, but keep in mind that you will have to park at the front of the resort in its overflow parking lot and won't be allowed to drive through the gate. With this in mind, after parking, walk over to the bus pavilion (referred to at the fort as The Outpost) and take either the Orange Line or Yellow Line bus to the Settlement and tell the driver where you'd like to go. He or she will let you know at which stop you need to get off. It's the same walking distance from either the Orange line (which goes down the middle of the resort) or the Yellow line (which serves the loops on the right of the resort). You'll follow the side walks for about 75 yards or so. If you get lost, there are plenty of folks around to point you in the right direction. To return to the parking lot, you'll take an Outpost bus from the same bus stop where you were left off back out to the main bus stop.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
