i am coming to walt disney world this year. could you please tell me what attractions are closed and when they will reopen? Thank you.

Hi there, John! Welcome to planDisney! I’m glad you found us! I’m happy to help with your planning! Knowing which attractions will closed for refurbishment during your visit is an important part of planning a Walt Disney World Resort vacation.

It's important to note that attraction availability is subject to change. There is a great resource on the Walt Disney World Resort website to assist Guests with their planning. It is called the Hours and Events Calendar! It includes which attractions will be closed. When you go to the Hours and Events Calendar, be sure to select “Day View” as opposed to the “5-Day View” option (which will not show which attractions are closed). You can then select which specific days you would like to view. As of the posting of this answer, the calendar goes through March 21, 2024. If you look at the calendar later this summer, you should be able to view which attractions will be closed for refurbishment during your October visit.

John, be sure to check out some of the newly opened attractions during your visit! TRON Lightcycle / Run, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, Journey of Water Inspired by Moana, and Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway are some of the newest attractions that have opened in the Disney Parks! And, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, is said to be opening “later in 2024!” With any luck, maybe it will be open for your visit later this year!

    Dreams do come true!
