We are coming to Walt Disney World in May and have not been there in many years. Is there assistance with planning?

Hey Jonathan! Great name (sorry, it had to be said)! Welcome to planDisney! Making your first return trip to Disney World in a while is exciting, but might feel a little overwhelming, too! The good news is you found the best group to help with any planning questions you have!

My friend Scrooge McDuck recommends that Guests always begin their planning with ways to save money! Start by looking at the Special Offers page on the Walt Disney World Resort website. You might find a special offer that will fit your preferred travel time in May!

Next, think about which Disney World hotel you want to call your “Disney home” while on vacation. Disney World offers resort hotels in the value, moderate, and deluxe categories. Jonathan, if you think you know which budget category you prefer, you can send us another question, such as, “I’d like to stay in a (enter category) hotel during our visit. Can you make a recommendation?” One of my planDisney friends or I will get back to you with some great recommendations!

Next, think about which Disney World theme parks you want to visit while on vacation. There are four theme parks at Disney World – Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom! Knowing which parks you plan to visit will help you determine how many days of tickets to purchase. You can use the links above to visit each theme park online to get an idea of the attractions available at each park! While I’m not sure how long it’s been since your last visit, I can assure you, Mickey has added so much more fun and adventure to the parks in recent years!

Finally, I’m including a link to the Lightning Lanes page on the Disney World website. Lightning Lanes are something you might want to consider purchasing when planning your vacation. By purchasing Lightning Lanes, Guests can experience theme park attractions with shorter waits than the traditional standby line. Lightning Lanes save Guests a great deal of time!

Jonathan, that’s enough to get your planning started! However, send us more questions! The more specific your questions are, the better! We’ll use our magical experiences and knowledge of Disney World to make your planning easier!

    Dreams do come true!
