Howdy, Ashleigh! Thanks for coming to planDisney with your question about creating a little extra magic while tapping into your inner artist on your upcoming visit! Unique resort recreation offerings like the Crockett's Craft Corner - Wood & Wine Workshop at
The Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort are the perfect way to explore some of the
Enchanting Extras Collection that create memories beyond the theme parks at the Walt Disney World Resort!
As with many of the resort recreational offerings, it is recommended to make an advance reservation for the sign painting workshop; to make your reservation, you can call 407-WDW-PLAY up to 60 days in advance, or you can visit the Bike Barn at Disney's Fort Wilderness Campground to sign up in person. While the schedule is subject to change at any time, the Cast Member I spoke with said this event typically takes place on Wednesdays starting at 11:30 AM at
Crockett's Tavern next door to Pioneer Hall and is open to all guests age 8 and older. The event includes all the materials to stencil, stain, and paint your own keepsake wooden sign as well as snacks and refreshments, including some alcoholic offerings for guests 21 years of age and older.
Ashleigh, I'd like to also share two other art-inspired activities that you may be interested in checking out during your upcoming visit, just in case the Wood & Wine Workshop is unavailable or doesn't fit with your schedule. These are both available at
Disney's Coronado Springs Resort -
Colors of Coronado Painting Experience, which is currently offered on Friday afternoons, and
Spanish Mosaic Art, available on Monday, Friday, and Saturday afternoons. Both of these master-led art classes will leave you with magical memories and a keepsake piece of art to commemorate your vacation!
No matter where your imagination takes you, you're sure to create a true work of heart during your visit! If you have any other vacation planning questions as you count down the days, please come back to
planDisney - we'd love to help again!
Magic Awaits,
Alison
