Coming for our 5th visit with the kids in June of 2011 and our first stay at the Wilderness Cabins. We always have the Dining Plan and want to try a couple of new restaurants. Does the Biergarten have plenty of choices for kids (14,10,and 9). Thanks!

    Hello Beth!

Our family loves Epcot's Germany Pavilion and we make sure to eat at the Biergarten Restaurant every trip!

It is a great big buffet with lots of choices & last year I even ate there with three delicate little princesses & they all happily found something.

My little girl raves about the mac n' cheese on the buffet, while my son loves the bratwurst. Almost all kids love Spaetzle, a classic German side dish that are tiny dumplings or fat noodles depending on how you look at them. Here is some fun trivia for your kids...the word "spaetzle" translates to "little sparrows", but no sparrows were harmed to make these delicious noodles! We serve this on our Children's menu in my restaurant and children adore it!  If you don't immediately spot it on the buffet, ask one of the Cast Members to point it out. The Cast Member will probably have a fond story of eating Spaetzle as a child at their Oma's (Grandmother's) table.

To just name a few more of the many items you will usually find:  potatoes, roast chicken, Schnitzel, pork roast that they carve to order, and lots of great desserts! The apple strudel with vanilla sauce is my favorite!

I hope y'all give it a try! The music show is lots of fun and they invite kids to come out and dance which is alway great to see!
