hi we're coming 1st visit -french quarter -in june and i m trying to figure out how to best get from our resort to other resorts for dining. do we go into DTD or one of the parks and transfer from there?if so what resort is best to get to for this? thanks

Hey, Erin! I love me some Port Orleans French Quarter (POFQ.) I'm jonesing for some beignets right now just thinking about it.

I've found transportation from POFQ to Magic Kingdom to be more frequent and predictable than POFQ to Downtown Disney. Every bus ride from POFQ to Magic Kingdom was a direct route. On the other hand, the bus from POFQ to Downtown Disney would pick up guests at Port Orleans Riverside on the way, and the wait time for the initial bus (on two occasions) was north of 40 minutes. The boat from POFQ to Downtown Disney is more frequent and predictable, but the drop off at Downtown Disney isn't right next to other resorts' outbound busses (you have a little bit of a walk.)

Another benefit of bussing to Magic Kingdom instead of Downtown Disney is that you can walk from the Magic Kingdom bus area to the resort monorail and connect to all the dining options along the monorail line. If you're going elsewhere, you can grab a bus to another resort from the Magic Kingdom bus area.
