Hi Rachel, welcome to planDisney!
When I was a little girl, I told my parents I wanted a job that had conferences in Florida so I could visit Walt Disney World Resort. You are living out my childhood dream, so let's get you to the theme park!
Currently, valued UK-based Guests can purchase 7 or 14-day Magic Tickets through the
Walt Disney Travel Company. Other ticket lengths can be purchased on
disneyworld.disney.go.com as soon as you arrive in Florida. In addition to valid admission, Guests require a theme park reservation and a method of entry (Disney band, Disney MagicMobile pass, or admission card) for theme park entry. 1-day, 1 Park Per Day tickets include a theme park reservation. 2-day tickets and 1-day tickets with the Park Hopper Option require
theme park reservations to be made separately. As such, I highly recommend you consult the
theme park reservation availability calendar before making your ticket purchase. All July dates are currently available for all theme parks and I hope that remains the case during your visit.
It may be helpful to know you can make advance reservations for dining
online 60 days before your visit. Valid admission and a theme park reservation are not required to make a dining reservation, though both are required to redeem an in-park reservation. For an out-of-this-world experience, I highly recommend
Space 220 Lounge at EPCOT.
Another thing you can do before your visit is to download the My Disney Experience mobile app and familiarize yourself with the process of joining the
virtual queue for
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at EPCOT and/or
TRON Lightcycle / Run at Magic Kingdom Park.
As your summer visit approaches, be sure to stop by planDisney with any other trip-planning questions.
Choose magic,
Jennifer
