Hi we are coming from UK and will be combining a trip to a wdw hotel with a cruise. Is there a luggage restriction on the cruise ie will we have to arrange to leave it somewhere? Also are there transfers from disney resort to port and is there a charge?:)

    Welcome aboard, Rachel -

So great to hear that you will be cruising soon with Captain Mickey. A land and sea vacation is an awesome way to spend your holidays with your family. There's lots of magical memories to be made - how exciting!

You are allowed 2 pieces of check-in luggage per passenger. Anything that the airlines allow, will be allowed on the Disney Cruise as well. I reconfirmed with a cast member on the Disney Cruise Travel Desk, and they actually don't have a magic weight number for check-in luggage restrictions. So, if you keep the airline luggage weight restrictions in mind, you should be just fine.

Since you are staying at a Disney Resort, you can add the Disney Cruise Ground Transportation to your cruise reservation. This will be the DCL Motor coach that picks you up at your Disney Resort on the morning of embarkation, and it takes you straight to the Port. There is a $35 USD per person charge each way, or $70 USD roundtrip per person. It is so worth it, since Disney handles your baggage from the resorts and whisks it away straight to your stateroom on the cruise ship! It is definitely the most convenient way of transporting you and your family from the Disney Resort to and from Port Canaveral. In case you have to go straight to the airport from the port on disembarkation day, you can also arrange ground transportation to take you there.

I hope this helps. Please let us know if we can answer any other questions. We're always glad to help!
