Coming from TX and won't have a car and have booked at Poly, Contemp, and GF for 7:30 breakfasts. What do we do to get to our meals on time? I heard the buses don't run until an hour before the parks open which would be too late! Staying at WL in Jan. Thx!

    Hi, Irene!

You must be so excited as you plan for your upcoming visit to Walt Disney World! And you've picked some excellent breakfast locations, too!

The dates you mentioned in a previous question include early January, so I'm going to assume that this is the time period you'll be in WDW. On 1/3/13, Magic Kingdom will be open at 8 a.m. for morning Extra Magic Hours, so this means that resort buses will start running by 7 a.m. or earlier. The other days, however, MK doesn't open until 9, with buses most likely running by 8 a.m.

You have a couple of options, though. When you check in at Disney's Wilderness Lodge, ask a Cast Member at the front desk what the earliest time the resort buses will start running during that particular week. Transportation schedules change frequently, and you might find that there is a bus to each park for the early morning breakfast reservations.

On the other hand, there are always taxis ready and waiting just outside the lobby areas of each resort. Bell Services can assist you with getting into a cab and can advise on how much the ride should be. My son and I just took a taxi from our resort to Kouzinna, at Disney's Boardwalk area, because it was check-out day but we had friends to meet for breakfast, too. Taking that cab was so quick and inexpensive (under $15 with tip) and really saved me a lot of worry about getting to our reservation on time. Talk to a Cast Member about that, too, so you'll have peace of mind as well.
