It's great to see you back again today at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Joyce!
The holiday season is my favorite time of year to visit Walt Disney World Resort, and the festivities really kick-off in early November so there will be
beautiful decorations on display and lots of fun seasonal events happening by the time you get there this Thanksgiving. Just a few days after you arrive will be the beginning of the
Epcot International Festival of the Holidays where you'll be able to try holiday dishes from around the world and start Christmastime off right with a showing of the
Candlelight Processional, which is my favorite way to get into the festive spirit!
When you're on vacation over Thanksgiving, a traditional turkey dinner with all the trimmings is just the kind of meal you want to have to enjoy some quality family time together.
Liberty Tree Tavern in
Magic Kingdom Park serves a family-style Thanksgiving meal every day of the year, so it's one of the most popular places to go to enjoy that holiday dinner. That restaurant books up really quickly around that time of year, so you may also want to consider other restaurants that are putting together a special menu specifically for Thanksgiving Day. We don't quite know just yet which locations are going to be creating Thanksgiving menus, but in the past it's included restaurants like
Le Cellier Steakhouse and the
Rose & Crown Dining Room at
Epcot, and even some Quick-Service locations get in on the fun, like
Satu'li Canteen in
Pandora - The World of Avatar at
Disney's Animal Kingdom, which served a Thanksgiving-style turkey bowl last year that was delicious! I suggest you keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog, which will be the first place you'll hear about any fun and exciting Thanksgiving food offerings this holiday season.
Have a magical day, Joyce!
