Hi moms! We're coming to stay Sept 2014 and have the dining package with table service for the 1st time. We are excited to try the Disney restaurants, we know that we'll need to book tables in advance do you have any advice on how to start planning thanks

Zoe, you must be super anxious for the new year to roll around. Well, as far off as it seems, it will be here before you know it and you'll be on your way to the magic!

I'm glad to hear that you want to be prepared and yes, the booking window for your advanced dining reservations will be 180 days prior to your visit. Since it sounds like you are staying on property with the dining package, you will be able to make your dining reservations at that 180 day mark for up to 10 days of travel. This is especially important for those ultra-popular restaurants such as Cinderella's Royal Table, Be Our Guest Restaurant, Le Cellier, and Crystal Palace and dinner shows like the Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show and the Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue. Many of these favorites will book up on that 180 day mark. So be prepared to call or book online as soon as your booking window opens up.

Another thing I like to do prior to making my reservations is to roughly plan out my days and decide which parks I want to go to on certain days. You might also want to keep in mind Extra Magic Hours when planning these days and dining reservations. Personally, I also like to plan only one table service meal for the day so we don't spend a majority of the day sitting in restaurants, but that is just me.

Some of my personal favorites you might want to consider are Le Cellier, Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue, Whispering Canyon Cafe, 'Ohana, Tusker House, and 50s Prime Time Cafe. Our absolute must-do each and every vacation, is Biergarten in the Germany pavilion at Epcot. There is an amazing buffet and unforgettable entertainment by Bavarian musicians!

I hope this helps you start the process, but please stop back by and ask me more specific questions once you get to planning! I'd love to help since dining at Walt Disney World is one of my favorite parts of our vacation!
