Aloha, Jennifer! Welcome back to planDisney! I'm glad that you've stopped by with your question. Chatting with a fellow Member makes my day!
It sounds like your magical summer vacation planning is off to a great start!
Disney's Polynesian Villas & Bungalows is one of my favorite
Disney Vacation Club Resorts. I love the laid-back tropical vibe, the lush landscaping, and the mood that the tiki torches create at night. Since the enhancement, the large Deluxe Studios, with the new blue and green color scheme, are even more beautiful, and with two bathrooms and the new pull-down Queen bed replacing the pull-out sofa, are even more convenient! With its unbeatable location, fantastic
dining options and endless
recreation offerings, this is THE perfect place to spend a summer getaway, and I'm excited to help you maximize the magic!
The first things I think of when I think of the Polynesian are the POOLS! The Lava Pool, with its 142-foot waterslide, awesome water playground, pool games, and
Barefoot Pool Bar, is the most fun place to spend a summer's day. If you're looking to cool off with a quieter, more relaxed vibe, chill at the serene Oasis Pool and enjoy the
Oasis Bar & Grill. Sipping a beverage from a pineapple with a view of Cinderella Castle while kicking your feet up poolside sounds like THE best Disney day to me!
Next, I recommend participating in the Resort's seemingly endless list of activities! When you first arrive, snap a photo of the Activities board in the lobby or ask a Cast Member at the front desk for a list of the activities and their schedules. While this is subject to change, last month, they had Lawn Games and Movies Under the Stars on the Great Ceremonial House Lawn, "Aloha After Dark" with dancing and glow-in-the-dark games, unique Polynesian-themed arts and crafts for a small fee, a campfire with free marshmallows, and more! The Resort activities are the perfect way to have fun while enjoying your magical surroundings and can't be missed.
Lastly, would any magical tropical vacation be complete without a delicious DOLE Whip?! The perfect pixie-dusted evening would be to grab a DOLE Whip from
Pineapple Lanai and stroll the Resort's beach before catching
Disney Enchantment fireworks spectacular and the
Electrical Water Pageant after a delicious dinner at
'Ohana. Pure magic!
Speaking of 'Ohana, unfortunately, the character dining has not yet returned for breakfast. While I don't know if or when our adorable pals will return, keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog for the official announcement of returns and re-openings as soon as the news drops! I'll be watching and waiting with you! In the meantime, I'd suggest booking an oh-so-fun character meal at
Chef Mickey's, which is just a monorail ride away!
Jennifer, have the BEST time, and stop by any time with any questions!
See ya real soon,
Mandy
