Hello. We are coming to the States Mar til Sept and would like to come to the resort mid Sept. We have four boys ( 9,7,3,1) with severe allergies and would be looking for accomm and info on the parks. How many days would you recommend for our first visit?

    Hi Lauri-Ann,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel How exciting that you are planning your first visit to the Walt Disney World Resort! Since you will be traveling such a distance, I recommend that you stay at least 10 days.

The options for Resort Hotels are extensive. There are Value Resort Hotels, Moderate Resort Hotels, and Deluxe Resort Hotels as well as Deluxe Villas. The Art of Animation Resort has family suites that sleep up to six and come equipped with a kitchenette and two bathrooms. The Cabins at Fort Wilderness Resort can sleep up to six and come with a kitchen. My family enjoys staying at the Contemporary Resort which is one of the three resorts with direct access to the monorail. The others are the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and the Polynesian Village Resort.

There are four Theme Parks and two Water Parks. The theme parks are Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom. They are each fabulous!

To plan for your sons' food allergies, I suggest that you review the Special Dietary Request information. Once you know your travel dates, contact Special.Diets@DisneyWorld.com to let them know what your sons' food allergies are. I have food allergies. During our last visit, a chef at each restaurant came to speak with me prior to each meal. They were so helpful!

    Happy Planning!
