Coming soon to POR and would like to be close to the main buildings. It is an extra charge to be in the four preferred buildings... in your opinion is it worth the $ to upgrade? Traveling w/ husband and three kids 12, 10, & 7. Thx - panel is AWESOM

    Hi Joe!

Thank you for the compliment on the panel.  We all enjoy helping guests plan their magical Walt Disney World vacation.  Pop Century is my favorite Disney Value Resort.  I think getting a preferred room is worth it if you have trouble walking or if you think you will be going back and forth to the food court a lot.  For example, if you have a Disney unlimited beverage mug then you may want to make several trips during the day between your room and the main building.

If you don't plan on visiting the main building that often, then I would suggest not getting a preferred room.  With the exception of the 1980s, the rest of the buildings are not that far away.

Enjoy planning and write back if you have any more questions!
