We're coming with both sets of our parents, and they may not want to stay at the parks all day, whereas we would. How easy is it to get from the parks to a hotel on international drive? Are there shuttles available or would it need to be a taxi?

Welcome to planDisney, Emma. It's always a pleasure to welcome a fellow Guest from my neck of the woods. I bet you're counting down the days until your upcoming holiday at Walt Disney World Resort. With spectacular new shows, rides, treats, merchandise, and décor, there's so much to experience and enjoy for the 50th Anniversary Celebration

I see that you're traveling with your 'Ohana. What a brilliant idea! As Miguel from Coco says, “We may have our differences, but nothing’s more important than family.” I'm sure you're about to make a ton of core memory days together.

Taking time to slow down and relax is an important part of any Disney holiday. You don't want to overdo it! So I can understand if the parents would like to head back to the hotel early some days. Having stayed off property before, I can offer my own experience. Usually, if your hotel offers transportation to Walt Disney World Resort, I'd encourage you to become familiar with their schedule. When I stayed off property, there were a limited amount of shuttles per day. That meant that there wasn't a ton of flexibility when it came to getting to and from the Theme Parks. They might find it easier to use a rideshare service like Uber or Lyft.

If they simply wanted to take a mid-day break, then there are plenty of areas in Walt Disney World Resort to relax. For example, they could enjoy a drink at Disney's BoardWalk, grab a bite to eat at Disney Springs, ride the Disney Skyliner, take a scenic boat ride, or simply find a quiet spot in one of the Theme Parks to sit down and take it all in. My family has often found that taking a break can energize us for the rest of the evening. As Snow White's pal, Happy, once said, “You’re never too old to be young” (especially at Walt Disney World).

I hope you all have a fantastic time, Emma. If you're wanting a great place to eat, I think Chef Art Smith's Homecomin' is the perfect restaurant for families. Also, don't forget to enjoy the new nighttime spectaculars, Disney Enchantment and Harmonious

As we say in Liverpool, "Have a boss time!"
