We are coming to POR in Feb 2010. We have a DD, 9 , w/ Down Syndrome & she gets tired after a while with alot of walking. Are there certain sections that you might suggest that are best to be closest to pools, bus stops & main building?

Hello Paul!  You are going to love Port Orleans Riverside!  I find it to be a tranquil resort and the boat ride to Downtown Disney is very relaxing.

As far as a building location, you may want to view the resort map on allears.net to get a better visual of what the layout is.  Building 14 is closest to the main building and a bus stop.  From there, you can walk over a bridge to the main pool area.  There is also a quiet pool a short walk away on the other side of building 18.  If you'd like to try and be centrally located between the main pool and the main building, you may want to consider building 90 or possibly building 85 (which is also near the east bus depot).

I have personally stayed in buildings 14 and 18 and found 14 to be very convenient.  Whatever you decide, make sure you make a note on your reservation for your request.  Although it won't be guaranteed, cast members will do what they can to accommodate your request.

    Enjoy your vacation!  Diane
