Hi Andrew,
Welcome to planDisney and thank you so much for asking us a question, my fellow international traveler!
I’m thrilled to hear that you’re going to be visiting Walt Disney World Resort in just a few short weeks – you must be getting so excited for your journey “across the pond”!
Typically, I’ve only needed photo identification when picking up
Theme Park Tickets at a ticket window, checking in to my
Disney Resorts Collection hotel or when I want to use an
Annual Passholder discount in a merchandise or dining location. I’ve never really needed to show identification for attraction access. That said, I’m typically good to go with my province’s driver’s license, but there are times when that hasn’t been enough. In those cases, I showed the Cast Member a picture of my passport (from my mobile phone) along with my province’s photo identification, and I was good to go! I’d suggest that you do the same during your family’s upcoming trip, if only to avoid having your passport with you whilst you go about your Disney Day.
I hope my answer helps you plan a hassle-free holiday! Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions. We’re always happy to help!
Have a Magical Day,
Lynne
