We are coming to the park in August 2011 and are staying at the All Star Movie Resort. Is it worth the extra money to pick a "preferred room"?

    Hi Terri,

That is a good question and the answer depends on what time of year you are looking at going in my opinion and whether or not you have your own transportation. I love staying in the preferred rooms for the close proximity to the main building and the food court to get our refillable drinks as much as we would like without having to walk too far for them.  I almost always have rented a vehicle, so for me, apart from having the food court close by, I have my own transportation and don't have a far walk to get to the busses everyday (and I can usually always find a close parking spot no matter which building I am put in).

You will be going in August, which will be very hot and humid, so you need to ask yourself how much is it worth it to you to have a shorter walk to get to the food court, main building, bus stops, etc... during your trip and how will the heat affect you.  If I didn't have a car, I would definitely get a "preferred" room during the hot summer months especially.  If budget is not a huge factor, then I would go for it!  Good luck with your decision and have a magical stay.

    Best wishes,
    Brigitta
