Ahoy there, Holly!
Welcome aboard planDisney! I’m so glad you reached out—and I’m even more excited that your
land-and-sea adventure kicks off this weekend! I mean, Walt Disney World and a Disney cruise? That’s basically the real-life version of “And they lived happily ever after.” What a practically enchanted way to begin your next chapter!
I know you mentioned you saw one of my previous answers about Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings & Honeymoons, and you were hoping they could help with something extra special to mark this unforgettable moment. I completely understand—when you’re stepping into your very own “Once Upon a Time,” it’s only natural to want a little extra pixie dust. Just to be sure you’re getting the most accurate information, I connected with one of the amazing Fairy Tale Weddings Cast Members to confirm the current offerings. While they can
assist with magical ideas, they don’t currently offer engagement-specific packages like they do with wedding packages. Think of them as more of a Lumière-style host—ready to offer ideas to “be your guest,” but not involved in the behind-the-scenes choreography.
That said, this doesn’t mean your celebration has to be Bare Necessities! There are still plenty of ways to toast to your Happily Ever After. I’m not sure which Disney ship you’ll be sailing on, but if you’re looking for a romantic experience at sea, I always recommend a dinner (or brunch!) at one of the
adults-only dining locations. Whether it's Palo, Remy, or Enchanté, these spots serve up incredible cuisine and an atmosphere that practically sings “So This Is Love.” My wife and I celebrated our anniversary onboard with dinner at Palo Steakhouse, and it remains one of our most special Disney memories—elegant, intimate, and delicious.
Once you’re onboard, swing by Guest Services and
let them know you're celebrating something magical. While there are no guarantees, they often have sweet surprises or suggestions that can help elevate your moment, and they love making magical memories happen when they can. Also, if you're staying at a Walt Disney World Resort before your cruise, don't hesitate to mention your celebration at check-in or to any Cast Members throughout your stay—you never know when a little extra pixie dust might come your way.
I hope this helps as you put the finishing touches on your fairytale moment. You’ve got a wonderful weekend (and week!) ahead, and I’m sending you all the happy thoughts for an engagement celebration that would make even Flynn Rider say, “Best. Day. Ever.”
Sea ya real soon as May brings sunshine, magical ports, and maybe a Mickey bar or two,
Dustin
