Hi coming to Orlando in May with my children (one is only 4months old) what is the weather like around this time ? Is there any recommendations on how to keep baby cool? Thanks!!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Amy!

Thank you for sending us your great question. You must be so excited about your upcoming vacation! May is just around the corner, and it is by far my favorite month to visit Walt Disney World Resort. My family loves to travel “the world” in the month of May!

The month of may is usually sunny and warm! As a Florida Resident, I can tell you that the weather is warm enough to enjoy the pools and water parks, but not as hot as it gets in the summer in Orlando. Rain and storms are usually lighter than over the late summer, and you don’t run the risk of hurricanes or extreme tropical weather. I think it is pretty clear that May is my favorite month to visit the Parks.

I recommend keeping the following in mind:

       •   Stay hydrated.
       •   Keep baby cool with the use of your stroller’s sunshade and/or clip-on stroller fans.
       •   Visit the Baby Care Centers often for breaks, feedings, etc.

Mom's Quick Tip: If you feel like your children need a nap or some time away from the sun, please remember that you may leave the Park and return at a later time. We like to take mid-afternoon pool or nap breaks while at Walt Disney World Resort!

Amy, I’m sure you will have an unforgettable vacation. Please visit us again if you have any more questions.
