Hello Renee, and welcome to planDisney!
Congratulations on adding a Mouseketeer to your crew! What a special time to travel to the Most Magical Place on Earth. Don't forget to take lots of pictures as you explore the theme parks as a mom-to-be. I also recommend bringing home a souvenEAR for your little one as a memento of their first "visit."
I vacationed in Walt Disney World during both of my pregnancies and was able to experience
most of my favorite attractions. Feel free to enjoy any ride or show without a height requirement or
pregnancy advisory. While you'll find plenty to zip-a-dee-do throughout all four theme parks, based on current offerings, if your priority is to experience attractions, I suggest spending your day in the Magic Kingdom Park.
Except for roller coasters and the Tomorrowland Speedway, you can safely enjoy the remainder of this park's attractions. Additionally, since you'll be visiting during summer, there are plenty of lengthy, air-conditioned rides like
Pirates of the Caribbean,
"it's a small world," and the
Haunted Mansion. I recommend a few turns on the
Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover, the Magic Kingdom Park's most relaxing attraction, and taking in shows like
Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress to give your feet a rest. And speaking of self-care, be sure to stop frequently for complimentary ice water, available at all quick-service restaurants.
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge is an awesome, immersive land in
Disney's Hollywood Studios, but you're correct in that both attractions are not recommended for pregnant women. While you could spend several hours shopping and snacking in Black Spire Outpost, or constructing a light saber, you might want to hold off on this adventure until later to get the full experience. Both
Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run and
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance are fantastic and worth the wait.
I hope this is helpful, Renee. Walt Disney World is a great destination for expecting moms. To make your experience as comfortable as possible, remember to take plenty of breaks for eating, drinking water, and resting your feet. My fellow panelists and I have years of experience visiting the Disney Parks during all stages of parenthood, so if there's anything else we can do to help in the future, come see us again.
Thanks for stopping by!
