Hi Allan! Thanks for coming back to planDisney with another question!
Visiting Walt Disney World Resort for Christmas sounds like the perfect way to spend the holiday. I’m just imagining seeing the massive Christmas trees in each theme park, enjoying as many holiday treats as possible, and maybe spending an evening at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.
You can
make advance dining reservations up to 60 days in advance of your Walt Disney World Resort visit. When I think of a holiday meal, I imagine the menu served at
Liberty Tree Tavern. Roasted turkey, pot roast, stuffing, and so much more. It is exactly what I would want to eat at home, only I’m not cooking! Of course, if that doesn’t fit your idea of a Christmas meal, there are so many
dining options throughout Walt Disney World Resort.
If you’re interested in attending the ultimate Christmas party, I recommend
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. This is an after-hours ticketed event at Magic Kingdom Park, where you can meet characters in their Christmas outfits, enjoy themed treats throughout the park, and even walk down Main Street, U.S.A. as “snow” falls around you.
The 2023 dates for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party have not been announced yet, but I suggest checking
Disney Parks Blog often as you will see the announcement there first. If you plan on spending time at EPCOT, you’ll also want to look for details about the
EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays. On my last visit to this festival, I spent an entire day visiting the holiday kitchens in World Showcase to taste seasonal foods from around the world, and then for dessert I completed the Holiday Cookie Stroll.
It's never too early to be in the Christmas spirit, and knowing you’ll be at Walt Disney World for your holiday makes it even more magical! Please
visit me again at planDisney if you have any future planning questions!
