Hi Dawn Marie,
Oh, how I envy you! I would love to have a day to spend alone at Walt Disney World. If I were you, I'd either head to Downtown Disney for some serious shopping or I'd make a reservation for the spa treatment of my dreams at
Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa. Then you can return to Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa by 5 pm to meet up with your boyfriend.
Another fun option for adults traveling solo is to sign up for one of
Disney's amazing backstage tours. I highly recommend the Keys to the Kingdom tour through the Magic Kingdom or the Around the World at Epcot Segway tour. Both are fascinating, fun experiences!
As for dinner, I'll give you a variety of suggestions. If money is no object and romance is your objective, book a meal at Victoria & Albert's in Disney's Grand Floridian Resort. I have very fond memories of dining there with friends a year ago and let me assure you that it is an unparalleled fine dining experience. Narcoossee's and the Grand Floridian Cafe are two other delightful, but less expensive options at the same resort. Be sure to call (407) WDW-DINE right away to make reservations for your visit next week.
If there's a particular kind of cuisine you seek for your special dinner next week, just post a follow-up question and let us know. We can fine-tune our dining recommendation to your specifications.
Have fun next week!
Jill
