Hi Ashley,
Just because your son doesn’t want to dine with Disney Characters, that doesn’t mean that you can’t dine with character!
My first recommendation would be
‘Ohana at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort (a short monorail ride away from Magic Kingdom Park). It’s home to one of my family’s favourite meals at Walt Disney World Resort: The Dinner With Hawaiian Hospitality. As an added bonus, the coconut races and games will keep your little guy entertained, while you enjoy a tasty tropical concoction!
My next recommendation would be
Whispering Canyon Café at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, which is accessible from Magic Kingdom Park by boat. Dinner includes the Family Platter, featuring chicken, sausage, ribs and lip-smackin’ cowboy sides. Plus, junior gunslingers will find all kinds of shenanigans to get into: Lincoln logs, sing-alongs and hobby horse races.
Another restaurant that I would recommend is
50’s Prime Time Café at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Your son will have a blast interacting with his server “cousins”, the theming is impeccable and you'll feast on comfort food at its finest!
At Epcot, I would recommend either
Biergarten Restaurant in Germany or
Restaurant Marrakesh in Morocco. Both restaurants have excellent food and feature musical entertainment: a lively oompah band at Biergarten Restaurant and a belly dancer at Restaurant Marrakesh.
Have a Magical Day!
Lynne
