Hey there, Erin, and welcome to planDisney! Thanks for stopping by the panel with your question. It’s great to see you here planning out your next visit to the Walt Disney World Resort! After all, there is never a bad time to go on vacation! My wife definitely seems to live by this rule.
Erin, I reviewed the
Theme Park Availability Calendar, and as you stated,
Magic Kingdom Park has already filled up for the second week of October. I’m unsure if there is a large event planned that is drawing crowds to the resort. However, in my experience, early October is prime time for school fall breaks across the nation. I imagine that many families are taking advantage of a few days off from school and planning a Disney Vacation. With this in mind, I would plan for higher crowd levels than the rest of October month, even though actual crowds are really difficult to predict. I’ve been in the Theme Parks when there was no reservation availability and felt fine, and I’ve been in the Theme Parks when the parks still had availability, and felt really crowded. I suggest planning for huge crowds and being pleasantly surprised if the levels are lower than expected.
I hope this helps, Erin! If you have more questions while planning your Disney Vacation,
stop back by and let me know!
You’ve got a friend in me,
