We are coming from NZ in September and are at Disney for 3 days, we are hoping to attend Oogie Boogie but I can't see when the tickets will be released? Any idea on when we will be able to book? Thanks!

Welcome, Foolish Mortal! Kelly, you have come to the right place as Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort is my absolute favorite time of year! One of my kiddos is a pumpkin baby, born Halloween week, so it's always a big deal in our house, and spending it at the Happiest Place on Earth offers next-level spooks, tricks, and treats!

Dates for this year's Oogie Boogie Bash - A Disney Halloween Party have not yet been released, but I would imagine we will hear about them very soon! In a typical year, we have heard about tickets going on sale as early as April, so step into your Doom Buggy and keep your eyes peeled on the Disney Parks Blog as this is where news usually breaks first! I also like to follow along with the Disney Parks and Disneyland Instagram accounts which will often announce the latest and greatest! Usually, the happy haunts arrive in early September, so your trip should be perfectly timed to enjoy some boo-tastic treats, Mickey pumpkin photo opportunities, and Jack Skellington's takeover of Haunted Mansion Holiday! While we are still waiting for those dates, I can tell you that last year Oogie Boogie and his villain friends partied on select nights at Disney California Adventure Park from September 9th - October 31st.

I know you are traveling from afar and may want to take advantage of all the park time you can fit into your 3 days, but typically I love to enjoy a pool day with my family if we are attending a special ticketed event in the evening. This gives us some extra energy and builds excitement throughout the day! Usually, you will be able to enter the park a few hours before the party starts so that you can enjoy attractions and all that the park has to offer before it's handed over to Oogie Boogie. You'll also want to make sure you check out the entertainment schedule and choose a night to watch the Halloween Screams fireworks spectacular at Disneyland Park!

Kelly, Madame Leota and the 999 Grim Grinning Ghosts of the Haunted Mansion will be waiting for you and your family! If you haven't already, tune in to the new planDisney Podcast to hear lots of tips and tricks from my fabulous fellow panelists. It's a great way to get excited about your upcoming trip! If you have any more questions, you know where to find us here at planDisney!

    Happy haunting,
    Tara
