Hello, we are coming in November and wondering if the dining plans will come back at all this year?

Hello there, Brittney. You are going to love visiting Walt Disney World in November. The parks are all so festive for the holidays, it's such a fun time to go.

As of right now, Brittney, we have not received word if or when the Disney Dining Plan might return. I have a feeling it won't be until more of the Walt Disney World restaurants open back up. Little by little things are returning to a world of magic at the Walt Disney World Theme Parks. I've been keeping an eye over on the Disney Parks Blog for all of the announcements about things coming back but nothing about the Disney Dining Plan has been announced just yet. If the Disney Dining Plan does return before your vacation, I am sure this is something you will be able to add on to your vacation package if you would like to do so. If it follows similar rules as it did before, you would have up to 48 hours prior to your vacation to add it.

Until the Disney Dining Plan returns, Brittney, I suggest picking up Disney Gift Cards between now and your vacation. Doing this actually mimics the Disney Dining Plan because the money is already deducted from your bank account and has to be used on something at Walt Disney World. Having Disney gift cards tucked away makes it a little bit easier to enjoy that splurgy meal or snack because you know it's already paid for - just like with the Disney Dining Plan! What I like to do is add a small Disney Gift Card to my grocery cart each week. It doesn't add much to my bill and it's not a big expense all at once. However, even small dollar amounts really add up throughout the year and I'm always pleasantly surprised at how much I've put aside when I tally all of them up. If the Disney Dining Plan comes back between now and your vacation and you have some Disney gift cards set aside, you can actually use those to pay for the plan if you decide to add it to your vacation package so it's kind of a win-win.

I'm sorry I don't have more news for you, Brittney. But be on the lookout over on the Disney Parks Blog for any and all announcements. If you have any other questions, please feel free to come back and ask me. I'm here to help!

    Have a great day!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
