My DH and I are coming in November for our 4th visit. The evening we arrive we would like to watch the fireworks from the beach at the Polynesian. Are there places to sit (chairs, blankets) to relax and watch the display? Thanks!

    Hey Janet-

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. What do you get when you cross tropical palm trees, white sand beaches and a relaxing atmosphere? Yep, Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. I just got back from a quick trip to this tropical getaway and can’t wait to return.

With the beautiful refurbishment at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, I made sure I put a foot in the sand and counted the chairs just for you. Janet, you were on my mind to make sure I got the details squared away. I counted 30 lounge chairs and 3 swings on the beach near the water taxi launch to the Magic Kingdom Park and Resorts. This is a perfect area to watch Magic Kingdom Park fireworks. The view closer to and behind the bungalows is partially blocked by trees and the bungalows. The lounge chairs and swings are first come-first served and are not monitored by Cast Members. You may bring a beach towel because there is plenty of room on the sand. So kick those sandals off and sink your toes into the beach and say, aaaaaah.  Please know the number of chairs may vary so the sooner you can arrive the better. I would arrive 30-45 minutes before the fireworks to ensure a great spot.

Disney Dad Tip: In select dates in November and December, Wishes nighttime spectacular is replaced by Holiday Wishes: Celebrate the Spirit of the Season during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. If you watch fireworks from the water taxi dock you may be able to hear the music piped in to Narcoossee’s at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort.

Mahalo Janet and enjoy making many Magical Memories!
