Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Suzanne!
What a fabulous vacation you have planned – family time, a
vacation package at the Walt Disney World Resort, and SEVEN days of
theme park tickets! I’m swooning a little over here.
I took your question to a Walt Disney World Resort Cast Member, who said that usually tickets can be activated early (up to 10 days in advance), but that must be done on site. You should be able to visit the resort hotel where you’ll be staying, or any
Guest Relations location (there is
one in Disney Springs if that’s easier) to activate the tickets before you check in for the on-property part of your stay. Please note, though, that you will only be able to make
FastPass+ selections 60 days in advance for the dates that you’ll be staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel – for the other three days, you’ll be able to make FastPass+ selections 30 days in advance of the day you intend to visit.
Having said all that, I strongly encourage you to call Walt Disney World Resort Reservations at (407) 939-1936 to be absolutely sure you’ll be able to do this. Tickets attached to a Disney vacation package sometimes work differently or have different terms and conditions, and a Cast Member can look up your reservation and tell you exactly what will work.
I hope you have so much fun ringing in the new year in Orlando, Suzanne! There are lots of great celebrations happening around the Walt Disney World Resort, so be sure to check the
New Year’s Eve web page as you make your plans, and keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog, as they will share lots of tips and news about celebrating with Mickey and pals. If you have any further questions as you plan and dream, please stop by again!
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
