Hi Natalie,
Budgeting is always such a tricky subject because it really depends on the types of souvenirs and food that your family enjoys. I don’t want to give you an unrealistically low number, but, at the same time, I don’t want to give you a high number that doesn’t reflect your family’s tastes and budget!
First, scope out the menus on unofficial websites like allears.net and the disneyfoodblog.com to get an idea of the costs associated with the dining locations you’d like to visit (both for meals and for the beverages that the adults may care to enjoy). Don’t use your
Disney Dining Plan entitlements for the cheapest meals of the day in order to maximize the Plan’s value for your family. Personally, I wouldn’t budget less than $30/day per adult (based on the fact that you’ve already purchased a Disney Dining Plan).
As for souvenirs, again, it depends on what you think you may want to purchase while you’re in Walt Disney World Resort. Your budget would be very different if all you want are a few fridge magnets vs. a
Dooney & Bourke purse! Personally, I usually set aside at least $20/day per adult for souvenir spending and set aside $25-50 in total (depending on your overall budget) for your little guy. That should be enough to allow you to buy one or two “bigger” items, as well as little trinkets. Again, a great way to get an idea of prices before you leave would be to check out the “Disney Parks Product” section of the
Disney Store to get a preview of some of the souvenirs that you’ll be able to purchase during your upcoming visit.
Have a Magical Day,
Lynne
