We are coming for 3 nights in April with our 5 year old son. My husband wants to see at least 1 dinner show- what would be best for a child? would you recommend a show 2 nights or is there a different dinner recommendation you have for us - sit down?

Hi Stephanie! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

Your vacation will be here before you know it and I'm so excited for you! You will find that there are many delicious options to choose from when dining at the Walt Disney World Resort. It can be overwhelming to choose, so I have a few recommendations.

When it comes to Dinner Shows, here are my top three choices. For entertainment value, especially with a 5-year old in your party, I suggest Mickey's Backyard BBQ. There is yummy food that even my picky little ones will eat, and you get to mingle with some familiar faces like Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Chip and Dale! My second choice for your family would be Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue. This is interactive, hilarious family fun! My third choice is Disney's Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show. My kids love dancing to this show and the fire dancers at the end are a real treat, but it does feel a little long after a busy day in the theme parks. No matter which one you choose, they all offer all-you-care-to-enjoy dining, so you won't leave hungry!

For Table-Service restaurants, my recommendations would vary based on where you are staying and what theme parks you are visiting that day. You should check out Character Dining locations if your family is looking to keep the entertainment element with your dining. My family also loves Biergarten Restaurant in Epcot and Raglan Road Irish Pub & Restaurant in Disney Springs for some lively music and dancing while we fill our bellies!

Since you are quickly approaching the dates of your trip, make sure to get those Advance Dining Reservations made soon!
