Coming next week for The Summit cheer comp with 1 daughter and then my other daughter flys in for Worlds the next week. They are not allowing any practices . We have gym space but need transportation r/t for 10-15 people. Uber was too expensive.

Hello Lori, thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question.

My daughter is also competing during one of the weekends of the Summit competitions this year and I know that sifting through all of the information being provided can get a little confusing. So if I am reading your question right, you are trying to figure out transportation for your team to an offsite gym to be able to practice. Is that correct? If that is the case, Disney does not provide any transportation to offsite facilities. I honestly think grabbing a few cars for a ride-share to and from your practice facility is going to be your best bet. There are several rideshare services to choose from now, so you can always shop around to find the best price. The front desk of the resort hotel you are staying at will also be able to call a taxi for you and your group. They will be able to price check a regular taxi service and then you can compare that to what you found using the ride-share service apps. You could always rent a car when you arrive, like at the airport, but you are going to be charged for parking if you are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel. If you factor the cost of parking in and the cost of the rental itself, that might tally up to be more than a few ride-share cars. However, sometimes you can get great deals on rental cars so that option is worth exploring too. If you don't end up getting a rental car, once you are on Walt Disney World property you will be able to use complimentary transportation to get around the Walt Disney World Resort. You have the option to use the buses, boats, the monorail and the new Disney Skyliner to get to and from Walt Disney World Resort Hotels and to the Walt Disney World Theme Parks.

Lori, I hope you are able to figure out an option that will work best for you and your team. If you have any other questions about planning your Walt Disney World vacation while you are here, please feel free to come back and ask me. Good luck to your team and I hope they all have so much fun!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
