Hi there, Edward, and welcome to planDisney!
Can you believe that you're just one week away from a stroll down Main Street, U.S.A.? How exciting! Before you know it, you'll be surrounded by the scent of sweet treats and a cloud of bubbles floating by on the breeze as Cinderella Castle shines in the distance. My magical countdown is a bit longer than yours, so I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little jealous of what next week will hold for you!
Speaking of next week, let's talk
theme park reservations!
- At this time, theme park reservations are not required for date-based theme park tickets. Wondering if you have a date-based ticket? If you were prompted to select a start date for your theme park tickets at the time of purchase and your tickets have a specific validation window, they are date-based and do not require a theme park reservation, leaving you free to enter the theme park of your choosing each day.
- Tickets that require a theme park reservation at this time include Annual Passes, Disney Military Salute Tickets, Florida Resident Tickets, and any group/convention tickets. You can see the full list here.
I hope that clears things up for you, Edward. If you're still unsure of your ticket type, feel free to reach back out to us here at
planDisney or to contact a Cast Member using the online chat feature on the
Walt Disney World website.
I'd also love to share one more tip with you before you go.
Lightning Lane passes are a great way to maximize your time in the theme parks by allowing you to bypass the standby queues for some of Walt Disney World's most popular attractions. Because this is an additional cost, my family typically only purchases Lightning Lanes for a day or two of our vacation, specifically those we're planning to spend the entire day in the theme parks, so that we can maximize the value of our purchase. If you're staying in a Disney Resort hotel, your booking window is already open, so be sure to check out your options in the My Disney Experience app!
Thinking Happy Thoughts,
Lizzie
