Hi, Rebecca!
I’m glad to hear you’ll be ringing in the New Year at the Happiest Place on Earth. The
Disneyland Resort theme parks will stay open later than usual and offer extra entertainment, like live performances, parades and special fireworks displays, so it’s sure to be an exciting night!
At this time, there are no dining packages or reserved seating areas for the
fireworks at Disneyland Park. However, there are many fun spots in the park to celebrate at midnight, in addition to the most popular place to welcome the New Year in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle. The area along the Rivers of America in Frontierland is another great spot to be in Disneyland Park when the clock strikes midnight due to projections on water screens, and you’ll still have a spectacular view of the fireworks in the sky. The area near the
“it's a small world” Holiday attraction is another location that typically features live bands and entertainment throughout the night.
On New Year’s Eve, it’s best to arrive in the morning if possible and pick one park to stay in all day since both parks will likely reach capacity. I recommend that you bring any items you may want later in the evening, such as sweaters or jackets, and reserve a locker right away if you will want one. Cast Members sometimes pass out free noisemakers and hats, and you can also purchase New Year's-themed ear hats to commemorate the occasion!
I hope this information helps, Rebecca, and that you have a Happy New Year at the Disneyland Resort with your family! Please write back with any other questions you may have.
Wishing you magic,
Courtney
