Hi Jonathan! You must be so excited that your Walt Disney World vacation is right around the corner! Be sure to eat a Mickey Bar for me.

Some of the attractions like Splash Mountain are two-seaters, so if you feel comfortable letting two of your children sit together in front or behind you then the Cast Members will help keep your group together. You can probably get away with sitting together in a line on attractions like Soarin' or Star Tours since these rides have many seats in a row. Space mountain is a one-seater with three people to a car, so you may need to have another adult with you on this ride to sit in the other car with one of the children. This ride is dark and could be scary for younger children.

I also advise you to pay attention to each child's comfort level on each of the attractions that you plan on experiencing. You can read about each attraction beforehand with your children and even go to Youtube and look up ride-throughs. Even though Walt made these theme parks with the whole family in mind, some of the attractions might be too scary for the younger children. I thought my 5-year-old son would love the Star Tours ride, so I took him on it last August and he cried and clutched my arm the whole time. The same thing with Dinosaur. I thought he would love it, and he met the height requirement, but it turned out to be too scary for him. You know your children better than anyone, so it is up to you to determine whether or not they should ride a particular attraction.

If you have any more questions please feel free to stop by.

    Have a magical day!

I am a recent graduate from Ball State University and mother to my 5-year-old son. We love all things Disney and when we aren’t watching Disney films or planning our next vacation, we love to go to touring Disney shows. I also love to cook, listen to music, read books, and paint. With my experience planning vacations and navigating the parks from a single parent’s perspective, I hope to be able to add a little “pixie dust” to your vacation! Learn More About Sarah
