Coming to MK with my 4yr old for 1 day in July the rest of the family is not coming so my husband gonna drop me off. Is there a certain place I have to go to get to MK. I want to stay till closing whats a good time to get there and still be able to enjoy

    Hi Robin!!!

I know that you and your four year old are so excited about your day together at the Magic Kingdom this July!!!  You will have such a magical and wonderful time!!

To get to the Magic Kingdom, your husband would need to drop you off at the Transportation and Ticket Center, which is across the Seven Seas Lagoon from the Magic Kingdom.  From there, you can catch either the Ferryboat or Monorail to the Magic Kingdom.  There is no actual car parking or dropoff area on the Magic Kingdom side of the Lagoon, unless you are a Walt Disney World Resort guest using the Disney Bus Transportation.

I would highly recommend getting to the Magic Kingdom as early as you can the day you are going.  This will help you beat the crowds in the morning and also escape the July heat for part of the day.  Since you will not be able to leave for a break during midday I would suggest letting your child nap during the course of the day so that they will be rested for the late evening.  I would recommend taking a stroller for your child to nap in.

I would definitely stay until they close so that you can see the Main Street Electrical Light Parade and Wishes Fireworks.  Those two events will be such a magical way to end your evening at the Magic Kingdom.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions about your day in July!!!

    Have a magical day!!
