We are coming in Mid-June for the first time. My question is, are there any sit down restaurants (we have the DDP) that we can just go to or do they all require reservations? We don't want to commit to anything our first night and be spontaneous!

    Hi Karen!

Thank you for sending in your question to the Walt Disney World Moms Panel.

Generally speaking, you need to have a reservation for a Table  Service restaurant.  That's especially true for the restaurants in the theme parks and the most popular restaurants in the various resort hotels.  However, you can definitely find a few restaurants, especially in the resort hotels, that will accept walk ups though you might have to wait for a while.  You will also generally be able to make last minute reservations at the less popular resort hotel restaurants.

However, I do suggest making a reservation if a particular restaurant catches your eye.  If your plans change, you can always cancel the reservation and then try your luck with a walk-up at another place.

I hope this helps!  Write back if you have any more questions!
