We're coming in mid-August. Can you get free ice water in a cup at the counter service restaurants if you are buying food? Also, can you get free ice water in a cup at any other time without purchasing anything?

    Hi Kathy,

When I am visiting and it is extremely hot I always carry a fan with us for my daughter and we are constantly tracking down ice water.  I can tell you from my experiences that you can go into any counter service restaurant anywhere within Walt Disney World and they will certainly give you a cup of ice water as many times as you wish, whether you are purchasing food or not.  I think they know how warm it can get for guests and there are many children that are heat sensitive and require their fluids.  My daughter is very heat sensitive and with asthma added onto that she can get quite ill if I don't get her cooled down quickly and keep giving her body those vital liquids she needs.  Cast members have always been happy to accommodate my ice water requests and I don't think I am the only one who asks....so, enough babbling and yes, you can get free cups with ice and water if you like!

    Have a magical day!
