Hi Debra!
As a mom with a
Special Needs child I know just how stressful planning a vacation can be. I know from personal experience that having my son in a different environment, away from his daily routine, away from the food and comforts of home that he is so accustomed to, can be stressful.
I have to say that the Cast Members at the Walt Disney World Resort have been nothing short of amazing to deal with. They have helped me in so many ways to make our vacations successful. While I cannot answer with 100% confidence that each restaurant will be able to help accommodate your daughter, I will absolutely encourage you to ask to speak to a chef or manager on duty to help meet your daughter’s needs. I can tell you from personal experience that my son’s dining needs have always been met thanks to the kindness of the chef, server, and manager.
For any questions that you may have concerning your daughter’s needs please feel free to email Disability.Services@DisneyParks.com. Here you can ask for more information and ask how you can meet your daughters dining needs. Another service that I encourage you to take advantage of is the Disney Parks
Disability Access Service. This service has been a lifesaver for my family. While you still will have to wait for your family’s turn to ride, this service allows you to wait in an area that may be much more tolerable for your child. You also will find companion restrooms and break areas located throughout all of the Theme Parks. If you have trouble locating them just ask the nearest Cast Member and they will happily point you in the right direction!
Have an Unforgettable time!
~Heather~
