We are coming in May and are trying to keep it a surprise from our kids. Can anyone tell me how the pre vacation things they send you is sent through the mail, like magic bands, luggage tags etc. Hoping it's sent "low key."

    Hi Matthew!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. You've asked a great question and definitely one that someone planning a surprise trip would need to know!

As many times as I've been to Walt Disney World Resort, I've still been caught off guard by the little things that arrive in the mail when I'm trying to keep a secret from my children. There is an envelope that currently has a picture of The Incredibles on it that will likely arrive about two months before your trip. It has some information about your resort hotel in it and a few other tips that are good to know before arriving. My son actually got this envelope out of the mailbox once, but I was able to quickly play it off as an advertisement to get us to come to Walt Disney World. Just know that it will have your travel dates listed inside, so you'll have to come up with a good story if your child sees it. The package with the magic bands usually arrives in a very discreet, brown box. In the past, mine has been delivered to my front door rather than to my mailbox.

Hopefully, you'll be prepared when these magical packages start to arrive and can keep the BIG surprise a secret just a little longer. I'm sure your children will be so excited when they do find out and your family will have a most memorable vacation at Walt Disney World Resort! If we can help with anything else, don't hesitate to let us know.

    Have a magical day!
