Coming in May for a long weekend staying at Bay Tower. Doing AK on Sat with late lunch at Tusker House. On Sunday DGD-9 says she wants to hangout at resort. What is there to do besides swim? Dinner at Chef Mickey;s. May do breakfast at Poly. Any ideas?

    Hi, Deborah!

You will just love spending a day at Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort. Because it's located adjacent to Disney's Contemporary as well as the monorail line, you'll have plenty to explore for the entire day.

First, Bay Cove Pool will keep you entertained for hours; my kids just love the slide! Relax in the hot tub for a bit and enjoy poolside activities, run by Cast Members who know how to create fun for the entire family.  Check out Community Hall on Saturday, and take note of the activities which are scheduled for Sunday so that you can plan that day around anything that your daughter really wants to try. We always play a few games of shuffleboard on our pool days at Bay Lake; equipment is available at Community Hall as well. What a fun-filled, low-key day!

When you are ready to dress for dinner, consider dining at one of the many restaurants at monorail-accessible resorts: Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Disney's Polynesian Resort and Disney's Contemporary Resort. After dinner, I suggest you explore the shops at the resort or consider checking out Movies Under the Stars which will be set up (weather permitting) at a central location for both Bay Lake Tower and Disney's Contemporary Resort Guests.

Don't forget that you can see the fabulous Wishes Nighttime Spectacular from several locations at both Bay Lake and The Contemporary. What a great way to cap off your relaxing day at the resort!

Send more questions as you think of them, Deborah; we love to help!
