We are coming in May 2013 and I am finalizing everything. We got the quick service dining plan; however my son is 9 and wondering if the kids meals are going to be enough. Can or should I upgrade to the adult meal plan?

    Hi Diana!

The Quick Service dining plan is a great option if you are not planning to dine out at the table service restaurants. When I was nine I would eat more than my parents, so I know where you are coming from. Not knowing whether it will be enough is a hard choice.

In your case, if you stay with him as a child and are concern on portions, there are some quick service dining locations which do not offer kids choices so your son would be able to eat the adult portion size meal there. There are some good websites that can give you an idea of which restaurants offer adult and kid choices. The Disneyfoodblog.com and Allears.net have a lot of information about dining options. Personally, my daughter who is 12 now, can still eat from the kids menu at certain quick service establishments but needs adult portions at others. It's going to be really dependent on how hungry your son is...

You can also just purchase an adult meal plan for your son just to make sure he is able to eat the larger meals wherever you dine.
