Hi! We are coming in March with 2yo and 5yo boys, and are sooo stinkin excited! We are trying to finalize where to stay, and are trying to decide on one of the moderate resorts. Which would you recommend?

    Hi Brandi,
    I love your enthusiasm!!

So, let's see if I can help you figure out which moderate resort is best for your family.

I would suggest Port Orleans French Quarter. This resort is very charming and the smallest of the moderates. Rooms were recently refurbished with 2 queen beds plus all furnishing were renovated. The pool is great for young kids with a slide down the resident serpent's tongue. It's a resort with only one bus stop making transportation to the parks less hectic. Boat transportation to Downtown Disney is a fun way to travel!

My second idea would be Caribbean Beach Resort. While it's a large resort, the pool area is wonderful for kids. The main pool has a zero entry depth which makes wading lots of fun and there is a pirate ship water play area too! Kid meals are served at the food court in sand pails! Playgrounds are situated throughout the resort on sandy non-swimming beaches. The rooms are larger than the other moderates but there are only two double beds in each room. The pirate theme rooms are extra fun!

Port Orleans Riverside is a fun choice. The resort is currently undergoing renovations to install Royal themed rooms in part of the resort as well as queen size beds in rooms.

Coronado Springs resort is large. It has a more sophisticated atmosphere with an on-site conference center, nightclub and spa. The resort is beautiful and the Pepper Market is a great food court. The Dig Site pool area is very popular and it has the longest pool slide of the moderates. Bedding consists of two queen size beds. Buses seem to be less crowded here since many of the guests are there on business.

I would look at each of the factors that I mentioned and see which one most appeals to your family. If the pool is your biggest concern, you might want to go to Caribbean Beach. If newer rooms are your top request, I would go for French Quarter.

Let me know if I can help any further!
