Coming in March, 2010 - me, hubby & 3 boys (11, 8 & 5) staying @ Old Key West & we WILL have a car. For one of our days we plan to spend the day at MK and then have res for the 5:00 Hoop Dee Doo show. Suggestions for our transportation for tha

    Karen:

My suggestion depends on whether you want to return to the Magic Kingdom after Hoop dee Doo or not....

If you're not going to return, I suggest taking your car in the morning and parking in the Hoop dee Doo parking (outer parking lot) of Fort Wilderness and walk 50 yards or so to its bus stop.  Take one of its internal buses (I prefer the Orange Line) for the 5-minute ride to the Pioneer Hall bus stop.  From there, walk about 100 yards down to the pier and take the boat for the 12-minute ride to the Magic Kingdom.  Around 3:45 or 4 p.m. leave the Magic Kingdom and take the same boat launch back to Fort Wilderness.  The Hoop dee Doo show is in Pioneer Hall.  Afterward, take the internal bus back out to the parking lot for your car.

If you want to return to the Magic Kindom after the show, take the bus from Old Key West to Magic Kingdom in the morning.  Take the boat over to Fort Wilderness for the show and then back afterward.

If you don't want to go through the hassle of your car and still don't plan to return to the Magic Kingdom, you can still take the bus to Magic Kingdom in the morning and use the boat to go back and forth to Fort Wilderness.  You can then head to the bus stop that will take you to Old Key West.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
