Hi there, James!
Welcome to
planDisney, and thank you for popping in to ask us a question about the
Disneyland Resort. I bet you’re getting excited for the adventures ahead of you this spring, especially if this will be your first stay at The Happiest Place on Earth!
It sounds like you heard about the Online Check-In service available to Guests staying at one of the three
Disneyland Resort Hotels! To utilize this, you would sign in to your MyDisney account within five days of your check-in date via the web or the Disneyland mobile app. You will be asked to verify your reservation details, give your contact information, and provide a credit card to be stored on file for your stay. Then, once you arrive at the resort, you have the option of using the Direct-to-Room service instead of visiting the Front Desk. You can head straight to a theme park for some pixie-dusted fun! When your room is ready that afternoon, the app will display your room number and allow you to unlock your room with a digital key.
Of course, if you’re unable to access Online Check-In prior to your arrival in the United States (there can be limited access of certain online or app-based features for international Guests), you are welcome to check in at the Front Desk at anytime on your arrival day. Please keep in mind that your room won’t be available until close to the official check-in time of 3:00 p.m. If your room is not yet ready, you can store your luggage with Bell Services and explore the resort until it is accessible. They’ll count your items and give you a claim ticket with a number that you’ll use to have your belongings brought to your room once you’re settled.
I hope this helps, James. If you have any other questions, please don’t hesitate to
write back and ask!
Wishing you magic,
Courtney
