We will be coming in March for my daughter's 3rd birthday - is there anything "extra special" (realizing Disney in and of itself is special) that you can recommend doing for her birthday?

You're right.  A trip to Walt Disney World for a birthday is special in and of itself.  However, if you are looking to add all the bells and whistles for your little princess on her special day, Disney has you covered!

You might consider a trip to one of two Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutiques on Disney property.  There is one located at Downtown Disney and the other is inside Cinderella Castle.  A visit to the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique will transform your daughter into a Fairytale princess.  She'll be able to choose a hairstyle, nail colors, and makeup.  Additional packages are available that even include a princess dress and photos.  Reservations are strongly recommended and can be made by calling 407-WDW-STYLE.

You might also consider surprising your daughter with a custom cake made especially for her.  Cakes can be delivered to resort rooms, or can be waiting for you at a restaurant.  Disney has a special hotline set up for ordering cakes.  Call them at 407-827-2253.

There is also a Perfectly Princess Tea Party that takes place at the Grand Floridian.  If your daughter is a Sleeping Beauty fan then this event might be the perfect birthday surprise!

If princesses aren't her thing, perhaps she would enjoy a horse-drawn carriage ride, or a pony ride.   The horse-drawn carriage I saw at Port Orleans Riverside during our stay there looked like a lot of fun.  For more information, or for reservations, call 407-WDW-PLAY.

No matter what you choose, your daughter is sure to have a magical birthday!

Given your inclination to plan a magical trip, I can already tell we have a lot in common. I'm Darcie, and my friends would be the first to tell you that Disney trip planning (especially dining!) is my love language. Of course, the vacations my family enjoys today look much different than they did when our kids were little, but while some of our favorite activities have evolved, Disney destinations still top our travel wish lists. Let's work together to plan a downright dreamy vacation for your family! Learn More About Darcie
